Keyframe cutting vs frame-precise cutting
Keyframe-aligned cuts (the default): FFmpeg copies the video stream directly without re-encoding — processing is extremely fast (seconds for any video length) and there is zero quality loss. The trade-off is that the actual cut point must align with a keyframe (I-frame), which may differ by 0.5-2 seconds from your requested time. Frame-precise cuts: the video is re-encoded to cut at the exact frame you specified — results in a small quality reduction at the cut segments but perfect timing accuracy. Choose "exact trim" in the settings for frame-precise cutting.

Can I trim a video without re-encoding?
Yes. For keyframe-aligned cuts, the video stream is copied directly without re-encoding — zero quality loss and very fast processing.
How precise can the trim be?
In fast-copy mode: ±0.5-2 seconds depending on keyframe interval. In exact trim mode: frame-precise (typically 1/25 to 1/60 of a second depending on frame rate).
Can I extract multiple clips from one video?
One clip per operation. To extract multiple clips, trim the video multiple times with different start/end points, or use video editing software for complex multi-clip extraction.
What is the maximum video file size?
Videos up to 500 MB per upload.
Does trimming reduce video quality?
